The Los Angeles Rams’ roster remains in flux as they continue their march through the postseason, with a tilt against the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game next up on what they hope is the road to the Super Bowl.

The Rams will once again turn to players they are familiar with, including one who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans.

In the third installment of this rivalry this season, it is all hands on deck for both sides.

The Rams announced in a post on X on January 24 that they “Activated, from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation) DE Larrell Murchison.”

Murchison, who turns 29 in April, was the No. 174 overall pick in the 2020 draft. He spent the first two-plus seasons of his career with the Titans. Tennessee waived him in December of the 2022 campaign.

The Rams claimed Murchison, and he has been with the club ever since.

Murchison has played in 34 games during his Rams tenure, starting three of them. He has recorded 30 total tackles and 4.0 sacks in that span.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein noted in his pre-draft profile on Murchison that the veteran had a “tight lower body that restricts his upfield and lateral strides with his feet barely leaving the ground,” but that it was “impossible not to notice his motor and that he’s always around the ball and rarely on the ground.”

He has started eight out of 60 total games played between the Rams and Titans. Murchison spent most of the 2025 season on the Rams’ active roster. He went from that to the practice squad earlier this month.

Rams Call Up UDFA LB

Elias Neal, Los Angeles Rams

In addition to Murchison, the Rams also announced that they called up linebacker Elias Neal. He is a second-year former undrafted free agent. Neal, 24, has played in eight games during his two seasons in the NFL.

He logged all 100 of his regular-season snaps on special teams, per Pro Football Reference. He has yet to record a stat in his playing career during a regular-season contest.

However, Neal has been viewed as an intriguing prospect, even if only for the third phase.

“Marshall LB Eli Neal is a very good pass rusher who also shows the ability to effectively drop into coverage as well as be a key contributor on special teams,” NFL Draft Diamonds wrote in June 2023, noting the youngster’s growth as a leader.

The Rams have gotten strong play at linebacker from newcomer and first-year team captain Nate Landman and second-year former UDFA Omar Speights.

Still, having Neal around for game day, if he is active, bolsters the Rams’ depth.

The same is true for Murchison. He would fall in behind Braden Fiske and Kobe Turner along the Rams’ defensive front. That is, if he is active on the game-day roster against the Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game.

This game is for a trip to the Super Bowl. The Rams are keeping their options open, with final game-day roster inactives due 90 minutes before kickoff, which is at 3:30 p.m. ET.
