Star wide receiver Puka Nacua is facing new allegations of biting a woman multiple times, according to a report from TMZ. It casts a major spotlight on Nacua at a critical time for him and the Los Angeles Rams.

Nacua is extension-eligible this offseason.

All has been quiet on the Rams’ side. There was already an expectation that he would have to wait before he would get a new deal.

Rams’ Puka Nacua Faces Sexual Assault Allegations

“A woman in Los Angeles claims Puka Nacua made an antisemitic comment, and later bit her so hard he broke her skin … allegations the Rams superstar says are total BS,” TMZ reported on March 24.

“The alleged victim, in an application for a temporary restraining order, lays out what she claims happened on December 31, 2025, after a group outing in Century City.”

According to the woman, Nacua also said, “F*** all the Jews.”

Nacua is accused of “rude or vulgar, threatening, violent, and harassing conduct” during the group outing. The woman said Nacua bit her friend’s thumb and shoulder. He left teeth imprints on the alleged victim’s shoulder, for which photos were taken.

Moreover, Nacua’s camp is accused of threatening to “disseminate false, inaccurate, and/or deliberately exaggerated public statements” regarding the incident.

Nacua’s attorney, Levi McCathern, acknowledged some “horseplay.”

McCathern also called the allegations a “shakedown.” A judge denied the application for a temporary restraining order against the Rams star. There is a hearing regarding the matter scheduled for April 14.

Puka Nacua’s Lawyer Takes ‘Scorched Earth’ Approach to Allegations

McCathern issued a statement of denial on Nacua’s behalf, asserting the accusations made against the Rams star contained various falsities.

TMZ’s Michael Babcock shared McCathern’s full statement, going “scorched earth.”

“Let’s be clear about what this case is — and what it is not,” McCathern said in the statement shared on March 24. “This matter is not sexual in nature, nor does it involve any allegation of domestic violence. If it did, the filings would look very different. They do not. It also doesn’t involve any elements of antisemitism.

“Puka denies these allegations in the strongest possible terms. We will be filing a defamation lawsuit and pursuing all available legal remedies in response to these false and damaging statements.”

McCathern pointed to Smith-Njigba’s extension in questioning the timing of the claims against Nacua, tying it into the pending talks between his client and the Rams.

Unfortunately for the Rams, this is not Nacua’s first time in the spotlight for negative reasons. He has also been accused of antisemitic gestures before. He drew criticism for a touchdown celebration that he planned during a stream with internet personality Adin Ross.

It never happened, but Nacua ultimately apologized

“When I appeared the other day on a social media livestream, it was suggested to me to perform a specific movement as part of my next touchdown celebration. At the time, I had no idea this act was antisemitic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people,” Nacua said in an Instagram post in December 2025.

“I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people.”

Nacua was also fined for derogatory comments about NFL officials.

The timing stands out, with the wideout in the final year of a rookie contract that he has thoroughly outplayed. However, he has also given them cause for pause with some of his other antics off the field.

Rams’ Delay Gets Critical Context

Nacua seemed destined for a monster contract extension due to his strong play to begin his career with the Rams. However, the delay stood out. The Seattle Seahawks extended Jaxon Smith-Njigba, sparking a report on the Rams’ plans.

Despite superior play, Nacua is on hold.

“My expectation, based on the conversations that I have had, is it’s a different situation with Puka and the Rams,” Garafolo said on “Good Morning Football” on March 23.

“The Rams have got a lot of young guys that they have to pay, and a lot of other business to conduct as well. So, the expectation on my end is that the Puka deal is going to take a while and could be further into the summer before we see something happen there. In the meantime, JSN helping all receivers by raising that bar to over $42 million per year in his extension with the Seahawks.”

This incident has been on the radar for several months. So the Rams’ decision to hold off on an extension for Nacua speaks volumes.
