Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua drew plenty of attention ahead of a potentially pivotal offseason, but it had nothing to do with football. Instead, Nacua made what some fans viewed as the first move on actress Sydney Sweeney.
Nacua is coming off a career season, helping the Rams reach the NFL Championship Game. They fell short and will look to regroup this offseason for 2026.
Until then, Nacua is enjoying his downtime.
Puka Nacua Shares Interest With Sydney Sweeney

Nacua responded to a post featuring insight into Sweeney, a popular actress who is known for roles in series like “Euphoria” and “The Handmaid’s Tale,” noting that they share an interest in a certain extreme sport. The revelation came as Sweeney described what she sought in a partner.
“Athletic and outgoing and funny,” Sweeney said in an excerpt from an interview with Complex, which the outlet posted on X on January 30. “I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family. I love myself a man…”
Nacua quoted the post, saying, “Love skydiving.”
Fans flocked to the comments of Nacua’s post, which garnered over 4 million views and nearly 80 thousand likes as of Friday night.
Sleeper affiliate Rams Tapes posted a GIF of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry shooting a super-powered ball for a three-pointer, while another fan posted, “Shooting your shot! I respect that.”
Others joked that such an activity would violate his contract.
ESPN’s Dan Graziano predicted that Nacua could land an extension worth “four years, $156 million with $90 million guaranteed at signing” in an article published on January 30.
Puka Nacua Gets Honest About Fatherhood

Nacua’s off-field life away from the Rams has been a polarizing topic, with a public paternity dispute marring the beginning of his campaign. Nacua and ex-girlfriend Hallie Aiono welcomed their son in October, setting aside their spat and showing a surprising united front.
Nacua spoke candidly about how fatherhood motivated him during this past season.
Their son was born during the Rams’ Week 8 bye while Nacua battled an injury. He said he relished the opportunity to be there for the entire process, calling it a “blessing.”
“That moment of being skin-to-skin with my son and putting him on my chest after he was born, I feel like it gave me superpowers,” Nacua told San Francisco 49ers star Fred Warner on the “Real Ones: The League” podcast, presented by G.O.A.T Farm Sports in November. “The ability to heal up. That’s Monday recoveries now. Man, tell them about the game on Sunday.”
Nacua did a “rock the baby” touchdown celebration in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints.
“That’s how you got them big biceps, too, man,” Nacua told Warner, who has two children–one son and one daughter–with his wife, Sydney Warner. “Man, little did you know, holding that baby for a little over an hour, dude. I’m like, man, your arms start to get sore.”
Nacua may not have gotten superpowers, but he did end the regular season as the NFL’s receptions leader, despite missing one game for the Rams.
