“He got a standing ovation as he brought our rings down the aisle, and then took his place next to Mark during the ceremony,” Mattfeld told the outlet. “It was so special to be able to read our vows with him beside us.”

Sanchez added, “Emotional is a massive understatement. It all hit me at once like a mack truck and after that, I couldn’t turn off the tears! Tears of joy, love and gratitude for getting such an incredible life partner.”

Mark Sanchez & His Wife Perry Mattfeld Welcomed Twin Daughters In March

Mattfeld, 31, surprised fans on Instagram by announcing she was pregnant on Valentine’s Day. She shared several maternity photos and wrote, “Biggest surprise yet 🥹 !!#twinmom.”

Neither Mattfeld nor Sanchez has posted photos of their daughters; however, the actress spoke about their latest additions in a recent interview with Glamour.

The former Trojans cheerleaders noted how she didn’t meet Sanchez until the actress started working on the hit TV drama, “Shameless,” which was filmed in Chicago. At the time, Sanchez was playing for the Chicago Bears.

“We both went to USC, both actually born at the same hospital, both Hispanic, a lot of weird things. He fell in love with me immediately. I’m just kidding,” she told the magazine with a laugh. “He didn’t, but we dated for a while even though we were always kind of apart because I was filming ‘In the Dark’ in Toronto for four years, and he was still playing.

“It only took six years to get engaged. And then we’ve been married for about two years and had twins in March.” Mettfeld found out she was expecting while filming “Chad Powers.

“We finished when I was mid-second trimester or something. And the twins are six months now.”

Mark Sanchez ‘Loves’ Seeing His Wife On the Football Comedy, ‘Chad Powers’

Mattfeld plays assistant coach Ricky Hudson on the popular Hulu series, which is based on Eli Manning’s 2022 ESPN skit. As a football fan married to Sanchez, she felt particularly prepared for the role.

“The fact that my two worlds could be meeting together was amazing,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “That is what made this my dream role. I remember reading the audition sides and talking all that football lingo. It was stuff that I genuinely was like, ‘I know this! I know what these mean!’

“I always surprised myself with how much football knowledge I actually have, just because it’s all we’re allowed to watch at home anyway. So, there was definitely a genuine connection to the show and that was what pulled me for sure.”

Mattfeld noted that Sanchez “loves” the show and commended the football for looking real. As for her husband’s job, Mattefeld made it clear that it’s much more than just showing up to work on Sundays for Sanchez. “Football is actually every day,” she said with a laugh.

“There’s Monday night football. There are highlights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You’re prepping for Thursday night football. Then we have Friday, which is going to be reviews of Thursday night football. Then we have college game day on Saturday and then NFL on Sunday. So it’s actually not one day of the week for football. It’s actually a full-time job.

Mark Sanchez Remains In The Hospital Following His Arrest

Fox 59 reported, “He was arrested at the hospital for battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle and public intoxication, which are all misdemeanors. Sanchez remains in the hospital and has not been booked into the Adult Detention Center, according to IMPD.”

The second individual involved in the incident “also reportedly had ‘significant injuries’ and claimed Sanchez was the aggressor in the incident and that he was merely defending himself with a knife,” the outlet reported.

The second individual also “reportedly told police he was making a food delivery when Sanchez told him to leave and that he couldn’t park in the alley. The victim claimed Sanchez became aggressive and used pepper spray. This is when the individual claimed to stab Sancehz in self-defense. It is important to note that FOX59/CBS4 sources said that Sanchez has not yet given his account of how events unfolded.”
