Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed almost the entire 2025 NFL season after tearing several ligaments in his left knee in Week 4 against the New York Jets.

Months later and still deep into recovery, the Dolphins released Hill to clear cap space. And with the season less then a month, Hill still remains an unsigned unrestricted free agent.

However, his agent Drew Rosenhaus, reveals when Hill expected to sign with a new NFL team.

Tyreek Hill Not Expected to Sign With a Team Before 2026 NFL Season

Tyreek Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus, joined the Pat McAFee Show on Friday, August 21.

“Agent Drew Rosenhaus said on @PatMcAfeeShow that he doesn’t expect former Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill to sign with a team before the NFL season,” Miami Dolphins beat writer David Furones said on X. “Rosenhaus said Hill looked great in recent video of him running hills, but that Hill still feels he has a long way to go.”

“I don’t expect Tyreek Hill to sign before the season,” Rosenhaus said. “He sent me videos of him running hills yesterday & he looked great… I do think when he does sign he will be the kind of guy that will impact the playoff race & will certainly be successful”

“Tyreek Hill is gonna take his time and pick the right team,” Rosenhaus adds. “He’s gonna come back fully healthy and he wants to help a team win a Super Bowl.”

Given the timeline of such an intense knee injury, it makes sense that Hill’s plan is to wait until he’s fully healthy before negotiating a big contract.

Potential Landing Spots For Ex-Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill

The 32-year-old Super Bowl Champion and eight-time Pro Bowler Tyreek Hill, has battled with injuries the last two seasons. While this may lower his stock on the market, this doesn’t make him undesirable.

Expect to rule the Miami Dolphins out of the running in the bid for Hill, they released him in February to clear cap space and are currently in rebuild mode. However, there is potential for Hill to return to the team that drafted him and won a Super Bowl with. The Kansas City Chiefs.

Bleacher Report rules the Chiefs as the most “obvious” for Hill in free agency.

“Since Hill played his first six seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs, reaching the 1,000-yard receiving mark four times and helping them win a Super Bowl, they stand out as the most obvious choice,” author Mike Chiari wrote. “Between Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and a few others, the Chiefs have some potential at the position, but bringing in someone who quarterback Patrick Mahomes is familiar with could be what is needed to help KC bounce back from missing the playoffs last season.”

The next organization that Chiari thinks Hill could land with is the Baltimore Ravens. Similarly, to the current Chiefs roster, QB Lamar Jackson hasn’t been able to find his WR1.

“The Baltimore Ravens are another team to monitor since they have a penchant for signing big-name wide receivers late in their career, and haven’t gotten big-time production out of receivers other than Zay Flowers in recent years,” Chiari said.
