Jordan Addison is eligible to return to the field for the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, but he enjoyed the Week 3 48-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. More specifically, Addison shared a message celebrating Vikings cornerback Isaiah Rodgers.
Arguably the biggest individual hero of the contest, Rodgers forced 2 fumbles, returned one for a touchdown, and ran an interception back for another score.
That garnered the 2024 Super Bowl champion plenty of attention, including from Addison.

Both the Vikings and the Bengals entered the contest missing key players. In addition to Addison, the Vikings were also missing starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy, among others, while Bengals QB1 Joe Burrow was also sidelined.
“ISAIAH RODGERS HAVE A DAY,” ESPN captioned a post on Instagram on September 21 that featured images, clips, and Justin Jefferson celebrating the performance.
Addison shared the post to his Instagram story.
“2 DEFENSIVE TDS AND 3 FORCED TURNOVERS IN THE FIRST HALF [popcorn emoji],” ESPN said on the post. “Jettas was loving it [laughing emoji].”

Rodgers signed with the Vikings on a two-year, $11 million contract this past offseason in free agency. He won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He was expected to make a significant impact, and he certainly did on Sunday.
According to PFF, Rodgers allowed one reception for 2 yards on three targets.
He had a 99.3 coverage grade, a 76.6 tackling mark, and a 63.5 grade in run defense in the contest. Rodgers called the day “legendary,” but said he is already on to next week.
The Vikings shared a post noting that Rodgers’ performance qualified as the highest-graded single-game performance in the history of Pro Football Focus. Rodgers finished with a near-perfect grade of 99.9 in the Vikings’ win against the Bengals.

Carson Wentz Delivers in 1st Vikings Start

While Rodgers was delivering for the Vikings on defense, fill-in QB1 Carson Wentz was doing the same on offense, and he will now get Addison back. His 173 passing yards are a modest total for the former Pro Bowler and member of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl-winning team.
However, he completed 14 of 20 passes and did not turn the ball over, and finished with a 129.8 passer rating.
His 34.7 QBR leaves plenty to be desired, and Addison’s return should help.
But Wentz was also making his first of at least two starts for the Vikings, less than one month after signing with the team following an offseason in which he was not part of any team’s offseason program or even on an NFL roster.

Addison, whose suspension will lift on Wednesday when the league flips to Week 4, has logged 63 receptions, 875 yards, and 9 touchdowns in 2024, his second season in the NFL. All of those were career-low marks accumulated in 15 games.
Addison will also benefit and take away from the attention that opponents give Jefferson.
The Vikings are 2-1 on the season and coming off a historic performance in Week 3. That is a strong position to be in, all things considered, with a road date against Aaron Rodgers and the 2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers on tap in Week 4.
