New England Patriots rookie Quintayvious Hutchins, who spent his college career at Boston College, was charged with domestic assault and battery on a family/household member, according to court documents obtained by HEAVY.

Hutchins “pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on ‘personal recognizance.'”

The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday, with Hutchins arriving in Newton District Court for his arraignment on Wednesday morning. Michael DiStefano is representing him.

According to the police report, the incident occurred on Boston College’s campus. Hutchins accused the victim of cheating, which resulted in an argument where he allegedly “grabbed” the victim by the neck after pushing each other during an argument. However, the victim said it was “not strangulation, but a firm grip which happened when Hutchins was trying to tell his side of the story.”

The Patriots released a statement to HEAVY:

“We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins. We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have further comment at this time.”

The Patriots selected Hutchins in the seventh round, with the 247th overall selection, of the 2026 NFL Draft. Last season with the Boston College Eagles, he finished with 35 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and an interception across 10 games.

He signed his rookie deal with New England over the weekend. Hutchins left Saturday’s rookie minicamp session early after suffering an undisclosed injury.
