The New York Giants have undergone drastic changes after finishing the 2025 NFL season with a disappointing 4-13 record, securing the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Along with bringing in one-time Super Bowl champion head coach John Harbaugh to replace Brian Daboll, the Giants have a bright future ahead, with a rising star quarterback under center in Jaxson Dart, one of the most talented young wide receivers downfield in Malik Nabers and an up-and-coming running back in Cam Skattebo.

Even though the future is bright in the Big Apple, with one of the best head coaches in the NFL leading the way, two of the team’s young stars are working their way back from season-ending injuries, as Nabers suffered a torn ACL and Skattebo went down with a gruesome ankle injury.
Fortunately for the Giants, Skattebo is making significant progress in his injury rehab, as he revealed on The Rich Eisen Show this week.
“I’m getting better,” Skattebo said. “I ran for the first time today about 75%, so it’s the bright side of things.”
Eisen asked Skattebo how fast he could run at 75 percent, and Skattebo gave a hilarious, classic response that only he would give.
“Not very fast, I’ll tell you that. … I can get away from like a baby hippo maybe, but that’s about it. A little bit over a jog. Kind of just striding out, not exploding yet and getting into that part of the game, but the jog and the striding.”
After giving an update on his injury rehab, Skattebo let it be known that he will be ready to take the field once the Giants’ training camp gets underway.
“I’ll be ready to go by training camp,” Skattebo said. “I probably got a little over a month left till I’m fully back to 100%. So OTAs are coming up in about a month and I’m excited. I’ll be ready to go.”
Although he’s still got some rehabbing to do, he’s clearly headed in the right direction, which is great news for the Giants.
Giants Legend Tiki Barber Chimes in on Brian Thomas Jr.

With Wan’Dale Robinson agreeing to sign with the Tennessee Titans, reuniting him with Daboll, the Giants’ brass will likely be looking for a viable wide receiver to bring in to join Nabers and Darius Slayton.
Connor Hughes of SNY believes wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. could be a trade target for the Giants.
“I could see the Giants potentially getting available because they made calls on him as well is Brian Thomas of the Jaguars is available,” Hughes said. “He is somebody the Jaguars are entertaining offers to.”
Former Giants star running back Tiki Barber thinks Thomas would be an “interesting” addition alongside Nabers.
“That sounds interesting to me,” Barber said of the Giants’ potential pursuit of Thomas. “You bring Malik Nabers back with his college teammate. Brian Thomas is a really good wide receiver. He’s had injury issues, so that’s the one thing you worry about.”
Only time will tell what the Giants’ brass choose to do, but they’ll have some options to explore, including trading for Thomas.
