The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a brutal overtime loss to the Chargers that left a bad taste in the mouths of coaches, players, and fans alike. Despite pressuring Chargers QB Justin Herbert on over half his dropbacks, the Eagles couldn’t get out of their own way, turning the ball over five times en route to a 22-19 defeat.

The good news for a reeling Eagles team that has now lost three straight after starting the season 8-2 is they now get to face a listless Raiders team. At 2-11, Las Vegas is squarely in the mix for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft and they’ve only won one game since a Week 1 win over the Patriots.

Still, Philadelphia is pretty beat-up along the offensive line, and that could prove costly against the Raiders. Vegas edge rusher Maxx Crosby is one of the best in the business, and if you can’t block him, he can wreck a game single-handedly.

“Yeah, you gotta know where he is at all times,” Sirianni said during Friday’s press conference, in reference to Crosby. “You’re always going to have to know where good players are at all times and have a plan for them with different things that you do.”

“Obviously, just like you have plans for things that you have in your notes and things that you’ve been through in your past, for rain, snow, whatever — it’s the same deal with good players. He is a phenomenal football player. So we’ve thought about him quite a bit this week, and that’s our job as coaches and as players to make sure that guys like that, we think about and have a plan for.”

“Shoot, you name it,” Sirianni said when asked for his thoughts on Crosby as a player. “For one thing, his motor is always running. He is relentless to the football, never stopping. I always say to our entire team, there’s nothing more dangerous than a team that never stops coming after you. And that’s how he is, that’s how good [edge rushers] are. He can rush the passer, he can stop the run, he’s physical, he’s fast, he’s quick, he’s athletic. Man, he’s an outstanding football player.”

Philadelphia Eagles HC Nick Sirianni on the Team’s Offensive Line Depth

“Yeah we feel good about everybody that we have,” Sirianni said on the depth along his offensive line. “That’s why they’re here. Yeah, so, [we] feel good about the depth that we have, feel good about the guys that we have. You’ll see the injury report a little bit later today.”

The Eagles will likely be without starting RT Lane Johnson, backup OT Fred Johnson, and potentially starting LG Landon Dickerson as well. That doesn’t leave them with many options, but as Sirianni said, they chose their backups for a reason. Now is the time for them to step up when Philadelphia needs them most.
