Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell shared on Instagram that he and his wife are expecting a third child.

The final full week of April will be an historic one for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team has 12 selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, which leads the league. Pittsburgh will also host the league’s draft for the first time in the modern era. Steelers kicker Chris Boswell, though, had some major news of his own to begin the second half of April.

The Boswell Family announced on Instagram it is expecting a new child.

“Three times the love,” wrote Boswell’s wife, Havana Boswell, in a post on Instagram.

The couple already have two children. Havana posted pictures of the entire family, including sonogram photos of the newest member, on April 16 with her announcement.

Boswell, who celebrated his 35th birthday in March, has been a member of the Steelers since 2015. He’s only kicked for the Steelers in a regular season game during his NFL career.

In 11 years, Boswell has earned two Pro Bowl nominations and made first-team All-Pro once.

Last season, he made 84.4% of his field goals and all but one of his extra points in 17 games.

Chris and Havana welcomed their second child, Beckham, during March 2025. The couple’s oldest son is eight years old.

Both sons were prominently featured in Havana’s Instagram post about the couple expecting a third child. Havana’s post included five photos, three of which had her two sons.

The couple didn’t reveal the gender of the expected third baby in their initial Instagram post. They also didn’t indicate a due date.

Nowadays, couples announce they are expecting at various times during the pregnancy. But it’s possible Havana will be due during the early part of the 2026 NFL regular season.

If that’s the case, Pittsburgh pundits and fans will surely engage in discussions about what will happen if Havana goes into labor on a Sunday.

Former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger caused a stir among the team’s fan base when he said in 2012 he’d miss a game for the birth of his child.

Chris Boswell Excelling as Steelers Kicker

There could be a discussion around Boswell missing a game for the birth of his next child because of how essential he is to the Steelers.

Boswell began his NFL career with the Houston Texans in 2014. But after a month on Houston’s practice squad, the team released him.

Boswell didn’t make the New York Giants roster in September 2015 either.

But the Steelers signed Boswell about a month later with Josh Scobee struggling. Boswell has been Pittsburgh’s regular kicker since then, becoming one of the league’s best.

In 2017, he made his first Pro Bowl while making 92.1% of his field goals. Boswell made 95% of his field goals, going 19 of 20 in 2020.

He has eclipsed the 90% success mark on field goals in seven of his 11 seasons. Most recently, Boswell was above that mark while leading the NFL with 41 field goals in 2024.

During that campaign, he made his first-team All-Pro for the first time.

Boswell is ranked sixth all-time in field goal percentage at 87.683%. Over the past three seasons, he’s connected on 90.7% of his field goals, including going 19-for-22 from 50 yards or further.
