There has been ongoing rumors linking Daniels to USC basketball star JuJu Watkins, but there are no signs that the two are more than friends who respect each other’s athletic prowess. Daniels has been spotted cheering on Watkins during her games prior to the star’s recent ACL injury.
During a July 17, 2025, exchange with TMZ, Watkins declined to comment on Daniels in an odd clip where the basketball star appeared to be ambushed at the airport by a surprise interview.

One thing we do know is that Daniels maintains a close relationship with his mom, Regina Jackson. The quarterback’s mother went viral for comments she made during a 2024 Amazon docuseries “The Money Game: LSU.”
The series focused on a number of former Tigers athletes like Daniels, Angel Reese and Livvy Dunne amid the changing NIL landscape of college athletics. Jackson admitted that her biggest fear was women attempting to get close to Daniels for the wrong reason.

Daniels’ mom has since attempted to clear the air on her previous comments. During a May 11, interview on “The Pivot Podcast,” Jackson emphasized that she is not trying to get in the way of her son dating.
“The whole girls comment was made first of all two years [ago], when he was at LSU,” Jackson noted, per the New York Post. “It was a question [I was] asked, ‘What is your biggest fear?’
“That should be every parents’ biggest fear… men and women… because you’re a public figure and your dollar amount is associated with your name. So you never know who’s really there for you and who’s really against you,” Jackson added.
“… I’m putting it on record. My son can date, he can live freely, make his own decisions. However, with the relationship we have, he does value my opinion because when my kids were little, I did a lot for them and my kids saw that.”

It is worth noting that just because Daniels is not public with his relationship status does not mean that the quarterback is not dating anyone. Fans have seen other NFL quarterbacks like Jalen Hurts be more private with their relationship.
