Quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders will play the Indianapolis Colts in London during the 2026 NFL season.

The Washington Commanders already announced they were going to London for a game during the 2026 NFL season. On Tuesday night, they found out when, where and who they will be playing against.

According to OzzyNFL on X, which has reported several NFL schedule leaks for the upcoming season, the Commanders will play the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.

The contest will kick off at 9:30 am ET on October 4. It will be at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

This will be the second consecutive year the Commanders play overseas. The Commanders were the designated visiting team against the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain last November. That game was the NFL’s first-ever regular season contest in Spain.

The Commanders last played in London during the 2016 season.

The league will officially announce all the NFL International Series games for the upcoming campaign, along with the rest of the schedule, on Thursday night.

Commanders to Face Colts in London During Week 4

On Wednesday morning, Schefter confirmed the Colts as Washington’s opponent for the London contest.

Like the Commanders, the Colts played in Europe last season. Indianapolis faced the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin, Germany. The Colts knocked off the Falcons in overtime 31-25.

The Commanders also played an overtime international game last season. But the Dolphins won that contest 16-13.

Washington has yet to win an international game during its brief history in the series. Thanks to the tie, though, the Commanders technically possess a .250 win percentage with an 0-1-1 record in international games.

The Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, and Arizona Cardinals are also winless in international play.

The Colts are 2-1 while playing in Europe. Indianapolis lost its only game ever in London, 30-27, against the Jacksonville Jaguars during 2016.

That game took place a few weeks prior to Washington’s tie with the Bengals in London.

What Commanders Fans Already Know About the Team’s 2026 Schedule

The full league’s schedule release for 2026 is almost here. But fans already know quite a bit about Washington’s upcoming slate.

As always, the Commanders will face the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles at home and on the road this fall. Washington will also host the Falcons, Bengals, Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and Houston Texans.

The contest versus the Colts in London will also count as a home game.

In addition to their division opponents, the Commanders will also visit the Jaguars, Cardinals, Titans, Minnesota Vikings, and San Francisco 49ers next season.

It doesn’t appear the Commanders will be playing on Thanksgiving this year. Washington is a popular choice for the holiday because the Cowboys always host a game on that day.

But on Monday, the league announced the Cowboys will host the Eagles on Thanksgiving this year.

The Commanders, though, could still be a featured team during Thanksgiving week. They are a possible team to play in the night game on Thanksgiving. Furthermore, the league is expected to schedule other games for Thanksgiving eve and Black Friday.

So, there’s actually multiple opportunities for the Commanders to have a nationally televised/streamed game during Thanksgiving week. But the team has a lower chance of playing on Thanksgiving.

All scheduling suspicions will be confirmed Thursday night with the full release.
