The Boston Bruins have been finding ways to win consistently, and forward JJ Peterka believes there’s one dangerous aspect of the team’s offense that opponents should be worried about.
In the wake of Boston’s commanding 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday, Nov. 5, Peterka put forth a confident viewpoint on the Bruins’ scoring depth.
The 24-year-old, who recorded two assists in the victory, pointed to Boston’s ability to generate offense throughout its lineup after five different players found the back of the net.
JJ Peterka Praises Bruins’ Dangerous Offensive Depth

Peterka’s message was straightforward.
“Every line is just dangerous out there,” Peterka said following the victory, according to NESN on X.
The statement came after Boston put together one of its best offensive performances of the young season.
Pavel Zacha led the way with two goals, while Morgan Geekie, Elias Lindholm, Mark Kastelic and Fraser Minten each scored once.
Peterka contributed assists on both of Zacha’s goals, including a second-period tally that helped Boston regain momentum after Pittsburgh cut its deficit to 3-2.
David Pastrnak also collected two assists, while Geekie finished with a goal and an assist.
Perhaps the most hopeful takeaway for Boston was the distribution of its scoring.
With Kastelic contributing from the fourth line, Lindholm finding the net from the third and Geekie and Minten producing on the second, the Bruins exemplified that their offensive success doesn’t depend exclusively on their top forwards.
Bruins Continue Impressive Winning Streak
The victory over Pittsburgh kept Boston’s winning streak of three games alive and bettered its record to 12-4-1.
According to the Associated Press, the Bruins have now won 10 of their last 13 contests, looking like they are among the NHL’s stronger early-season teams.
Boston also snapped a three-game road losing streak.
The performance was encouraging due to the Bruins needing overtime and a shootout to secure victories in their previous two games.
Against Pittsburgh, they didn’t need any late heroics.
Boston scored three times in the opening period and carried a 5-2 advantage into the second intermission before Minten added another goal in the third.
The Bruins will attempt to extend their winning streak Sunday, Nov. 8, when they return home to face the Florida Panthers.
And if Peterka’s evaluation holds true, opposing teams will have more than one scoring line to worry about.
