Oakley has unveiled the newest chapter of its Players Collection, placing Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown and Real Madrid standout Kylian Mbappé at the center of the company’s latest eyewear and sportswear campaign. The collection officially launched Tuesday through Oakley’s online store, select retail locations, and global partners.
The campaign pairs two athletes who continue to expand their influence beyond sports. Oakley described Brown and Mbappé as figures who help shape culture through performance, identity, and community impact.
Brown’s collaboration marks Oakley’s first full sportswear collection tied to the Celtics forward. The NBA champion appears in a complete cocoa brown lineup centered around the Oakley Highland Jaylen Brown Signature Series eyewear frame, which includes the company’s trademarked Prizm Ruby Lenses.
The apparel collection includes the Latitude Soar Parka, Reserve Momento Vest, Latitude Veil Tee, Reserve Momento Cargo Short, Reserve Spacer Pants, Meridian Low Ext footwear, Latitude Solar Cap, and Reserve Utility bag. Oakley stated that the collection was designed alongside Brown with a focus on versatility, modular layering, and functionality across both urban and outdoor environments.
“For me, everything is connected: performance, creativity, identity,” Brown said. “It’s how you prepare, how you think, how you show up.”
The eyewear retails for $213, while the apparel ranges from $90 for the T-shirt to $470 for the parka.
Oakley Collection Highlights Mbappé’s Roots
Mbappé’s contribution to the Players Collection centers around his Signature Series Permian eyewear. Oakley designed the glasses with a bold deep-set lens construction and Prizm Road Lenses while also incorporating several personal touches connected to the French soccer star’s background.
The frame includes Mbappé’s personal logo embedded directly onto the lens. Oakley also etched the coordinates of Bondy along the temple, referencing the Paris suburb where Mbappé grew up and first developed his soccer career.
“Style is a signature. These glasses are more than an accessory, they carry my roots, reflect my journey, and define how I move forward,” Mbappé said per WWD. “It starts before kickoff: the way you arrive, the energy you bring, the presence you carry.”
The release continues a growing trend of athletes becoming heavily involved in product design and branding partnerships rather than simply serving as endorsers. Brown’s collection, in particular, places his personal logo across several pieces while maintaining a consistent visual identity through the exclusive cocoa brown palette.
Viral Mbappé Petition Gains Attention Online
The Oakley launch also arrives during a difficult stretch for Mbappé off the field. Over the last several days, a viral “Mbappé Out” petition has circulated widely across social media, with reports claiming millions of Real Madrid supporters have signed calls demanding the star forward leave the club.
Some online estimates have placed the total above four million signatures in only a few days, Yahoo reports. Still, the numbers remain difficult to verify because the petition website reportedly lacks strong verification systems, making duplicate submissions or bot activity possible.
Despite those concerns, the petition reflects growing frustration among sections of the Real Madrid fanbase after a disappointing finish to the 2025-26 season. The backlash has dominated online discussion surrounding Mbappé in recent days, creating a sharp contrast between the negative attention tied to Madrid and the polished global campaign surrounding Oakley’s newest Players Collection.
