Both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift saw their net worth values rise this week after a new $900 million valuation of Swift’s music catalog. Just as the Kelce comeback news emerged, Taylor Swift’s net worth rose again. .

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift both saw their fortunes rise this week. A day after Kelce returned to the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year contract that could be worth as much as $15 million, his fiancé Swift saw her own personal fortune rise, with the new valuation of her song catalog.

How Do Swift and Kelce Share Their Money?

Previously listed at $600 million, a new report by the financial publication Forbes sets the Swift catalog as “worth an estimated $900 million.”

With multiple media reports putting the Swift-Kelce wedding date as June 13 — a date that has not been confirmed by the couple — the couple are reportedly preparing to combine their considerable finances — as well as keeping them separate. According to a Reality Tea report, Kelce has agreed to a “simple” prenuptial agreement in which the couple would “stay financially independent even in the future.”

In other words, Kelce, despite becoming Swift’s husband, would not get a piece of her $900 million song catalog, or any other wealth that Swift had accumulated prior to their marriage. According to a Bloomberg report last October, Swift’s personal net worth had reached $2.1 billion. It can only have expanded since then, with such developments as a reported 50 percent jump in the value of her songs.

Does Swift Have the Most Valuable Song Catalog of All Time?

Swift has taken more than 20 years to build her song catalog, and building its value to nearly $1 billion is a remarkable achievement. But her catalog is not the most valuable ever, though it ranks near the top. The British rock band Queen’s catalog of more than 200 songs — including such familiar hits as “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Another One Bites the Dust,” “We Are The Champions,” and “We Will Rock You” — sold in 2024 to Sony Music for a record $1.27 billion.

The Beatles catalog is also estimated to be worth more than $1 billion, though the exact value is not clear. A 50 percent stake in the late Michael Jackson’s music catalog was purchased by Sony in 2024 for $600 million, placing the full value at $1.2 billion at minimum.

It should be noted that, as with many songwriters, Swift shares writing credit on most of her songs with collaborators. Of her 233 songs, Swift is credited as solo songwriter on only 69, or 29.6 percent. That means she must share that $900 million worth of songs with other writers.

How Much Were Swift and Kelce Worth Before They Were Famous?

While Kelce is wealthy by any ordinary standard, with a net worth estimated between $90 million and $100 million — plus the $12-$15 million from his new Chiefs contract, his personal fortune pales next to Swift’s. But in some ways, his rise to wealth has been as impressive as hers.

Kelce came from a typical middle-class family, and little if any net worth of his own before signing his first NFL contract in 2013.

Swift, on the other hand, had a head start on life — and her career. Her father, Scott Swift, was a successful financial advisor who accrued a fortune of between $20 million and $30 million. According to various sources, that wealth allowed him to relocate his family from Pennsylvania to Nashville, where she started her career.
