Men's US Open draw revealed as Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic & more get first-round opponents.

The men’s 2025 US Open main draw has been revealed!

While fans will still have to wait several more days before action begins in Flushing Meadows, first-round matchups have been set.

Interestingly enough, given that Carlos Alcaraz is heading into the tournament seeded No. 2, and Novak Djokovic is heading into the tournament seeded No. 7, the two share the same half of the draw, setting the stage for what could be a semifinal clash.

Djokovic will collide with 2024 Next-Gen ATP finalist Learner Tien in the first round, while on the flip side, Alcaraz will collide with American Reilly Opelka, who is known for having an absolute cannon of a serve.

While the two could collide in the semifinals, before that, they’ll both have to work their way through some stiff competition in their respective quarters.

Looking at Carlos Alcaraz’s Quarter of the US Open Draw

This year, Carlos Alcaraz will be looking to win his second US Open title.

Following a first-round meeting with Reilly Opelka, Alcaraz is poised for a second-round matchup with either Italian standout Mattia Bellucci or world No. 108 Jungcheng Shang,

If Alcaraz is able to make it out of the first three rounds, he could then face off with several notable players in the quarterfinals:

Looking at Novak Djokovic’s Quarter of the US Open Draw

After winning a historic 24th Grand Slam title in 2023, Novak Djokovic is heading into the US Open this year eager to win an elusive 25th Grand Slam.

Djokovic’s quarter of the draw notably has some tough players that could prove to be problematic for the longtime legend if he isn’t in form.

Alcaraz & Djokovic Poised for Final Against Sinner

Heading into the 2025 US Open, all eyes are on reigning champion Jannik Sinner, who notably was forced to retire from his Cincinnati Open final against Carlos Alcaraz on Monday with an illness.

While the world No. 1 expressed optimism about playing the opening round of the US Open on either Sunday or Monday, it’ll be interesting to see how big of a toll Sinner’s recent illness took on him.

Assuming Sinner gets past Vit Kopriva in the first round, he could wind up facing off with an in-form Alexei Popyrin, who impressed during his quarterfinal run at the National Bank Open this year.

Sinner’s quarter of the draw also notably includes:

  • No. 10-seeded Lorenzo Musetti
  • No. 14-seeded Tommy Paul
  • No. 23-seeded Alexander Bublik
  • 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic

Assuming Sinner is healthy and makes it out of his quarter of the draw, his semifinal matchup could be against notable players such as:

  • World No. 3 Alexander Zverev
  • No. 15-seeded Andrey Rublev
  • National Bank Open finalist Karen Khachanov
  • Former world No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas

With US Open action right around the corner, it’ll be interesting to see how things turn out.
