Carlos Alcaraz Talks Rematch With Jannik Sinner Following Wimbledon Final

After defeating Jannik Sinner in Rome, Carlos Alcaraz managed to pull off an incredible comeback against the world No. 1 in the Roland Garros final, saving three match points in the fourth set en route to his fifth Grand Slam title.

The following month, however, Sinner was able to avenge the loss, bringing an end to Alcaraz’s quest to become just the fifth player to three-peat at Wimbledon.

Now, as the two look to battle it out for a fourth time this season, Alcaraz is eager to bounce back.

While speaking with members of the press on Saturday, he explained:

“I’m excited about it. It’s gonna be great..He won the last one. I won the first two finals. So I think it’s gonna be really interesting. … I’m excited about that and taking that challenge. I know that Jannik is, without a doubt, the best player in the world on hard courts and probably on every surface right now, so it’s going to be a really great match.

“I have to be ready for that, seeing what I did wrong in the last match, and I’m going to try to make it better on Monday. So I’m glad to be in another final. I think it’s my seventh in a row, the fourth against Jannik. So it’s going to be a great day.”

Jannik Sinner Talks Carlos Alcaraz Rematch

Following his win over Terence Atmane in Saturday’s semifinal match, Jannik Sinner spoke with members of the press about a wide range of topics, including the Alcaraz vs. Zverev semifinal.

Although at the time the two hadn’t played, Sinner spoke about the possibility of competing against Alcaraz for a fourth time this season.

“We played recently quite a lot now so it’s going to be a very very difficult match but hopefully it’s going to be, in any case, a good match. Hopefully it’s a very high level match, that’s what, for us players, is important, but also for the people who are watching.”

You can see his comments in the video below beginning at the 7:35 mark.

With a win, Sinner will push his career head-to-head against Alcaraz to 8-6, and his 2025 head-to-head against the Spaniard to 2-2.
