Italy's Jannik Sinner continues his historic run after another win at the 2026 Italian Open.

Jannik Sinner, the No. 1-ranked male tennis player in the world, gets to compete in front of a home crowd during the 2026 Italian Open.

After winning the Madrid Open earlier this month, Sinner became the first player to win five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 championships in series history. Should he win a sixth consecutive title, he’ll break Novak Djokovic’s record (31) for the longest win streak in Masters 1000 history.

Sinner tied the Serbian star’s record with a two-set win over Andrea Pellegrino in the round of 16. Should he defeat Andrey Rublev on May 14, the record will be his.

Fans immediately noticed Siglinde’s new look when Sinner’s parents watched their son warming up for the start of the tournament last week. One fan posted on X, “Siglinde with a new haircut, love this diva.” Another viewer gushed, “Mom’s style never goes out of style 🎀.”

An X user added, “every time i see Siglinde i gag bc that’s really my sister ! like cmon bob for the summer.” One woman commented, “Siglinde can also change her hairstyle and haircut, but the little barrette will never be missing. 🫶🏻.”

Overall, fans were thrilled to see the tennis phenom’s parents for Sinner’s historic run. While raising Sinner, Hanspeter worked as a chef at the Talschlusshutte Hut ski lodge in Sexten, Italy, while his mom worked as a waitress. Sinner couldn’t help but smile knowing his family was cheering him on in his home country this week. “It’s very nice, I don’t see them as much as maybe other players do at times,” Sinner told reporters.

“So, I’m very happy to share these moments with them. They’re wonderful, wonderful parents. Sometimes, even during matches I like to look at them. My mom is very stressed and my dad’s very calm. So it’s a good combination. Very happy my brother also comes Monday, so it will be nice.”

Sinner’s older brother, Marc Sinner, was born in Russia in 1998 and adopted by his parents at nine months old. A fire brigade instructor in South Tyrol, Italy, Marc keeps a very low profile, but has attended numerous of his famous brother’s matches.

Marc told Il Messaggero, Rome’s daily newspaper, in 2024, “I am used to not seeing him at home, but when he returns it’s wonderful. Every week of the year is busy with training and tournaments, so we try to keep updated by phone almost daily. On the court, as off, he has always been a very calm guy… Popularity hasn’t changed us at all.”
