Rivers signed his contract tender with the Rams on Monday. Rivers suited up for nine games in 2023 as a backup to Kyren Williams, logging 32 carries for 129 yards and while securing all five of his targets for 22 yards. He and Zach Evans could have a chance to compete for the No. 2 backfield role this offseason, pending Los Angeles' additions in the 2024 NFL Draft and/or free agency. Rivers has looked solid in limited action as a pass catcher, which could open further paths for opportunities on offense if he's able to impress in the coming months.
Reeder signed with the Rams on Thursday. Reeder has spent the majority of his career with the Rams and has occupied various roles. Most recently, he's been primarily a special teams contributor and that projects to remain the case in 2024.
Johnson agreed to terms with the Rams on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Johnson spent most of last season on Los Angeles' practice squad, but he did get into the team's Week 18 game against San Francisco, catching two of three targets for eight yards and scoring a touchdown. He has also played with Tampa Bay and Houston in his NFL career, and his most prolific season came with the Buccaneers in 2021, when he recorded 36 catches for 360 yards. The news of his re-signing was shared initially by his agency, though terms were not disclosed.
White (Achilles) is expected to sign a one-year, $8.5 million contract with the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After spending his first seven years in Buffalo, White is traveling cross country for a fresh start in Los Angeles. Injuries have cut his previous two seasons short, including a torn Achilles on Oct. 1 of last season. It remains to be seen if he will be ready for the start of the 2024 campaign, but the 29-year-old projects to start at cornerback once his health allows it.
Hoecht re-signed with the Rams on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Los Angeles placed a right-of-first-refusal tender on Hoecht on March 13. He ultimately did not receive an offer sheet, so he has re-signed with the Rams as a result. The 26-year-old started 17 games and recorded 81 tackles (45 solo), six sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble in the process.
The Rams re-signed Murchison on a one-year deal Friday, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports. The 26-year-old defensive lineman spent time with the Rams during each of the last two seasons, and he'll remain in Los Angeles after agreeing to a new one-year deal Friday. Murchison appeared in 15 games for the Rams in 2023, recording 16 total tackles, including one tackle for loss, on 252 defensive snaps. He's expected to compete for another depth role on Los Angeles' defensive line as the offseason progresses.
The Rams re-signed Rozeboom on a one-year deal Friday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. According to Rodrigue, Rozeboom had a couple offers from other teams, but he ultimately chose to return to Los Angeles for his fourth season with the team. The South Dakota State product had the best season of his career in 2023, racking up 79 total tackles and four passes defended, including one interception, in 17 regular-season outings. Expect Rozeboom to have the opportunity to compete for a starting inside linebacker spot once again this offseason.
