WWE Hell in a Cell 2015: Reactions & Review

Hell in a Cell 2015

Here’s our final review of WWE Hell in a Cell 2015!

Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Neville vs. Rusev, Sheamus and King Barrett (6-Man Tag Team Kickoff Match)

Hell in a Cell 2015

Reactions: Want even more proof that Cesaro deserves better? His performance during this match is all the visual evidence you need. Everyone did a great job during this Kickoff Show bout, but Cesaro truly shined as its brightest and most cheered for star. All six men were in fine form here as they went back and forth in this short and sweet contest. The action never slowed down too much here and it sped up to an even more action-packed pace once Cesaro got tagged in. The finishing sequence that took out King Barrett was a pleasure to witness. This special event got off to a good start with this 6-man tag.

John Cena (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio (WWE United States Championship)

Reactions: WOW! RIO’S BACK! Now that’s the type of shocker wrestling events are made for. So now more “El Patron” in AAA and Lucha Underground, huh? That sucks, but we’re happy to see him make his comeback to the WWE. After the initial shock wore off, Cena and Rio put on a pretty passable performance for their title match. Rio looked impressive and a lot more passionate as the crowd cheered him on. Cena pulled out his usual offense, while Rio presented himself as a fine dancing partner for the US Champion. This was just getting good before it came to a quick end when Rio laid in a Backstabber and a Superkick. This was an OK match that could have been even better with an extra 10 minutes added to it. WELCOME BACK, DELLLLLLLLLLLL RIOOOOOOOOOOO!

Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt (Hell in a Cell Match)

Reactions: We weren’t expecting much from this final encounter between Reigns and Bray, which is probably why we were shocked that it was so good. Reigns proved himself once again as a major player alongside Bray during this 1st HIAC match of the evening. Both men slowly worked themselves up to a nice crescendo after a while. Several epic moments took place here, such as Reigns’ looking like a Jedi with his double Kendo Sticks and Bray landing his Uranage to Reigns through a table. The other table moments were amazing to see, plus the finish was a perfect end to such a hate filled feud. We envisioned Bray getting the big win here, but Reigns was instead the victor in this surprisingly great matchup.

Rating: 3 & a Half out of 5 Stars

The New Day (Big E, Xavier Woods, and/or Kofi Kingston) (c) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley) (WWE Tag Team Championship)

Reactions: Minus the huge botch from the Dudley Boyz during one point in the match, this rematch was somewhat enjoyable. The always hilarious antics of The New Day raised this match’s rating up half a point. Both teams went through their usual routine of maneuvers, but a fun moment strewn in between it freshened up this contest. Kofi brought in Xavier Woods’ broken trombone, placed it in Bubba’s hands and acted out in a good ol’ fashioned Eddie Guerrero moment. The ref decided to keep the action going, which led to a crazy finishing sequence involving that same broken trombone. The New Day keep on going strong, which shocked us since we thought they were finally going to lose their titles here. This was a decent title match overall.
