Big names are in doubt for Manchester City, who can rise to second in the top of the BPL table today with a win over Arsenal. Sergio Aguero should be ready to return to the lineup, but City will likely once again be without central defender Vincent Kompany.

Losing Kompany in the middle has a huge impact on City. In the 15 games that Vincent Kompany has not played this season, City have failed to keep a clean sheet and conceded 1.6 goals per game. In the nine games with Kompany, City has conceded just 0.44 goals per game.

City needs all their defensive pieces in line for a strong Arsenal attack. Olivier Giroud has scored five goals in three games, and Arsenal have only lost one in their last six matches.

These teams have not yet met this season. The last time they faced off was in January, when Arsenal beat City 2-0.
