Clemson is headed to their second straight College Football Playoff to take on Ohio State. According to Westgate’s Jeff Sherman, the Buckeyes open as a three point favorite over the Tigers despite being ranked below them in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Clemson was an impressive 12-1 this season with wins over Louisville, Florida State and Virginia Tech.

The Tigers were just average when it comes to Vegas. Clemson was a disappointing 6-7 against the spread and speaks to the lofty expectations that have followed the team since their impressive showing against Alabama in last year’s championship game.

Ohio State’s thrilling overtime victory over rival Michigan looks like it gave the Buckeyes a spot in the playoff despite not playing in the Big Ten championship. The Buckeyes have not only survived but thrived after a number of key players either graduated or left for the NFL. It is a young but talented Ohio State team that has them as favorites in this semifinal matchup.

Heavy will update this with the latest point total once it is released.
