Malia wasn’t the only Obama to have a good time at Lollapalooza in 2017. On August 6, photos circulated on Twitter showing the younger Obama, Sasha, 16, making out with a new friend. The caption that spread with the photo read, “Matt gonna get Sasha Obama.” That friend has been identified as Matt Metzler. Photos of the pair emerged just as video of Malia rocking out hard to The Killers set was published by TMZ. Like President Obama and his home, Metzler calls Chicago home. It remains to be seen if Sasha and Metzler’s relationship will go any further.

1. Metzler Attended Some of Chicago’s Most Famous High Schools
According to Max Preps, Metzler was a student at Chicago’s famous Whitney Young High School where he played on the soccer team. That page gives his graduation year as 2019. Metzler was also a pitcher for the school’s baseball team. In 2016, Metzler was part of a fund raising effort that raised nearly $20,000 for the Whitney Young baseball team.
In 2016, it appears that Metzler transferred to the Francis W. Parker school in Chicago. An article on the school’s website details a boomilever that he and a classmate built.
2. Metzler’s Friends Are Having Fun at His Expense on Twitter

3. A Twitter Account Claiming Metzler Didn’t Remember Meeting Sasha Obama Is a Fake Account

On August 7, somebody purporting to be Metzler opened a Twitter account with a tweet saying, “Honestly didn’t remember this happening. Friends told me to check Twitter, but I didn’t even have an account.” Attached to that message was the photo of Metzler and Sasha together. In his bio, the prankster merely writes, “The juice is loose,” along with information about his Snapchat account.
Metzler contacted Heavy.com to confirm that the account is fake.
4. President Obama Previously Said He Felt Sorry for Boys Who Tried to Date His Daughters

Back in November 2016, President Obama told a radio station in Raleigh, North Carolina, about his feelings regarding boys dating his daughters. The president said:

While Sasha Obama finds romance at a music festival, her sister has been linked to Stanford graduate named Rob Franklin. Malia Obama has been working as an intern at Harvey Weinstein’s office in New York City since leaving the White House. According to his LinkedIn page, Franklin works at the art dealer website Artsy.net and speaks three other languages, Spanish, French and Chinese.
