Oluwafemi Oladejo: Breaking News

Oladejo (lower leg) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Oladejo was placed on injured reserve in mid-October after fracturing his leg during the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Raiders. He was designated to return from IR in mid-December, but the rookie second-rounder was unable to progress enough in his recovery to return for Sunday's regular-season finale. Oladejo will end his first NFL campaign with 13 tackles (five solo) across six regular-season games.

Oladejo (lower leg), who remains on IR, is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Oladejo has his 21-day practice window opened Dec. 17 and has been a limited participant since, including during Friday's session. His final chance to retake the field this season will come Week 18 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Jan. 4. The rookie second-round pick may need to practice in full prior to that contest in order to prove he's ready to come off IR.

The rookie from UCLA practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday and Thursday, but it now appears he's not ready for in-game action just yet. While Oladejo remains sidelined for the Week 16 contest, Arden Key and Jihad Ward are expected to play as the Titans' top outside linebackers.
