Katie Nolan continues to be one of the most likable personalities in sports broadcasting. First, she challenged her bosses at Fox Sports 1 to start putting women in more dynamic roles and giving them the same kind of respect and responsibility their male co-workers. Now, she’s challenging Madison Bumgarner to a chugging contest.
Every time the Giants win in the post season, Madison Bumgarner “chugs” beer in celebration. At least that’s how every headline writer describes it, Nolan wasn’t so easily fooled. She called out the Giants pitcher for just dumping beer all over his face and shirt, barely getting any in his mouth. Then she went on to prove that it is in fact possible to chug six beers and actually drink every drop.
We’ll have to wait and see whether or not Bumgarner is up for the challenge. Game 1 of the World Series is Tuesday, October 21st at 8:07 PM on FOX.
