Last season, Eddie Lacy was Offensive Rookie of the Year. This year, his season ended with a dramatic overtime loss to the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game. The 24-year old entered the league with a very impressive college resume and is already off to a great NFL career.
1. Lacy is Used to Being a Champion

Lacy was with Alabama for three of their National Championships. In 2012, his final season with the school, he was named MVP of the National Championship game after rushing for 181 yards and two touchdowns.
He finished that season with 1,322 yards and 19 touchdowns. His college career was enough to be taken 61st overall by the Packers.
2. Lacy is an Asthmatic

Lacy missed time during the Divisional Round game against the Cowboys due to an asthma attack. According to NBC, he’s suffered from the breathing disability since he was young.
“[I]t’s a breathing thing,” Lacy said after the game. “It’s not something you want to go out and risk . . . risk something bad happening. There’s nothing I can do about it. It’s a medical condition. I take my inhaler, I do everything I’m supposed to do. When it happens, it happens. … It’s worse in the winter time,” Lacy said at the time. “I’ve had it since I was little. Sometimes it’s worse than others.”
In the article, Lacy said he didn’t have any problems from it when the Packers played in Seattle in Week 1. The warm weather that is predicted for the game will help Lacy be able to play the whole game.
3. Lacy Has a History of Concussions

Asthma isn’t the only health issue Lacy suffers from — he also has a history of concussions.
In the beginning of his rookie season, Lacy missed almost a month after suffering a concussion against the Redskins.
In the opening game of this season, he suffered another one. This time it was against the Seahawks, the team the Packers will face in the NFC Championship game.
4. Lacy Is From Louisiana
Lacy is from Geismar, Louisiana. He attended and played football for Dutchtown High School. When he graduated, he was ranked as the 13th best running back and 116th best prospect by Rivals.com, according to his Crimson Tide bio.

According to his Crimson Tide bio, Lacy picked Alabama over Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Mississippi State and LSU.
