The Denver Broncos announced via Twitter that Peyton Manning will be returning for the 2015 season — albeit on a $4 million pay cut.

Manning’s quad injury towards the end of last season was the reason for his limited production over the final six weeks of the season and against the Indianapolis Colts in the Playoffs.
No. 18’s return sent shock waves through NFL circles — there was real speculation if he would retire — and here are some of the tweets you need to read:
“We’re glad to work something out with Peyton so that he will be part of our team this season.”
– #Broncos EVP/GM @JohnElway
“I’m excited Peyton is returning, and I look forward to working with him & all our players starting next month.”
– #Broncos HC Gary Kubiak
Peyton Manning will move down to become the 6th highest paid QB in the NFL next season http://t.co/tXtRtNEWd8
Peyton Manning has passed a physical and taken a pay cut. He has also watched 4 years of Gary Kubiak footage and memorized all 12 plays.
Peyton Manning’s insanely early ADP per @MyFantasyLeague: 92.3 (QB9). Kubiak offense will be run-focused, but still solid mid-rd value.
3 hours after Peyton Manning arrived at the Broncos facility, Denver announces he's passed his physical & signed his restructured contract.
