They have the fourth-best record in the Western Conference entering the NHL Playoffs. And they’ve lost 4 straight games. But the Chicago Blackhawks were still the favorites to win the West when the sportsbooks released their odds.

The Blackhawks (48-28-6) come in at 15/4, ahead of the Anaheim Ducks (4/1) and St. Louis Blues (4/1), who tied for conference lead with identical 51-24-7 records. The Nashville Predators, another team who finished the regular season with more points than Chicago, were at 6/1, behind the Minnesota Wild (9/2).

The defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings missed the playoffs by 2 points.

The postseason begins Wednesday night.
