There will be at least one Spanish team in the Champions League semifinals for an eighth straight year as city rivals Atletico and Real Madrid were drawn against one another after both advanced past the first knockout stage. The first leg of their quarterfinal tie is on Tuesday night.

Gareth Bale is in a race to be fit for the match after missing Real’s 3-0 win over Eibar over the weekend, and it looks like he will be in the starting XI on Tuesday night. He has come under fire due to recent performances, but he remains a game-changer and another attacking threat Atletico will need to mind.

Real Madrid are the favorites to progress, but Atletico is undefeated (four wins, two draws) in the last six meetings between the two teams. Both squads are fully fit and all key players are available for selection.
