While Chelsea ran away with the English Premier League title last season, odds are this term may offer more drama. Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are nipping at the Blues’ heels, and could offer more stern resistance in 2015/16 with improved squads.
Arsenal, who sit at 4/1 to win the title, begin their quest for a first championship since 2003/04 on Sunday when they welcome West Ham to the Emirates Stadium.
Both teams have been busy in the buildup to the opening of the Premier League season. Arsenal captured their second straight Community Shield with a 1-0 win over champions Chelsea, while West Ham has had its hands full with the Europa League. Despite placing 12th last season, West Ham were awarded a place in the competition due to their spectacular disciplinary record. They’ve been playing competitive matches for a month already.
