Cam Newton isn’t just the leader of an undefeated team and an MVP candidate. He’s also a fantasy stud.
Newton may only rank 21st in ESPN’s QBR metric, but he does generate an “explosive play” (a play that goes for 20-plus yards), every nine plays.
He may not be a regular top-tier fantasy quarterback, but he is at the top of the second-tier, and has done arguably the most with the least amount on his team.
He should, however, be expected to be a top-tier play in Week 11 against the Redskins and their 21st-ranked defense at home this week in Charlotte.
Look for Cam Newton to spread the ball around and use his legs to rack up some serious fantasy points in Week 11. His projected line, according to FantasyPros.com of 224.4 passing yards, 1.6 touchdowns and 0.8 interceptions are solid. As is his projected 43.1 rushing yards, 0.4 rushing touchdowns on 7.9 attempts, with just a 0.3 fumble lost chance.
