With Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final tied at two late in the third period, Nick Bonino came through for the Pittsburgh Penguins with his fourth playoff goal.
Bonino’s wrist shot lifted the Pens past the Sharks, 3-2, with 2:33 left in front of a raucous, sold-out crowd at Consol Energy Center. Penguins defenseman Kris Letang set up the go-ahead goal with a pass from behind the net.
Game 2 is Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.
