Justin Braun answered for the Sharks, making it a 1-1 game in the first period.
The Sharks defenseman scored for a second straight game to even the score in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. It marks San Jose’s first goal in a Cup final on home ice.
Down 2-0 in the series, the Sharks approached Game 3 with a must-win mentality.
The goal came with 10:26 to go in the first period, shortly after Ben Lovejoy scored the opening goal for the Pens.
