Following his win at the Valspar Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick and his wife, Katherine Fitzpatrick, took to social media to share a meaningful life update with friends and fans.

In recent weeks, Katherine had posted lighthearted videos on social media accounts of her packing up their home while Matt competed at The Players Championship. At the time, the move sparked curiosity among followers, with many wondering what prompted the change in their personal lives. Now, it appears the decision to move may have been tied to something far more exciting. The couple is expecting their first child.

Matt and Katherine Fitzpatrick Share Their Pregnancy News

In an Instagram post, Matt and Katherine revealed the news through a series of black-and-white photos. The images were captured by Maya Schauffele, wife to fellow PGA professional Xander Schauffele. Katherine made sure to thank Maya for capturing their special moment. The pictures show the pair smiling and relaxed as they celebrate this new chapter in their lives.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow players alike. Many took to the comments on social media to congratulate the couple. The timing of the news only added to what has already been a memorable stretch for Fitzpatrick, both personally and professionally.

The couple first went public with their relationship back in 2023. They quickly became a familiar presence together at events. Katherine was often seen supporting Matt during tournaments. She even took on a more active role as caddie during the Par-3 Contest at the Masters that same year.

Their relationship continued to progress quickly. The pair became engaged in September 2023, and just over a year later, they married at All Saints Episcopal Church near Bay Head Yacht Club in New Jersey. Since then, they have shared glimpses of their life together, building a strong following among golf fans.

Matt Fitzpatrick Recent Success on Tour

The announcement comes during a strong run for Fitzpatrick. The 31-year-old now has three wins on the PGA Tour, with his latest victory at the Valspar Championship standing out as particularly impressive.

Just one week earlier, Fitzpatrick narrowly missed out on a win at The Players Championship, finishing behind Cameron Young. Rather than letting that disappointment weigh him down, he carried his momentum into the following week. Matt was able to deliver a composed and determined performance at Innisbrook Resort Copperhead Course to secure another title.

Looking ahead, Fitzpatrick is expected to return to competition in the coming weeks. Although he was absent from the the Texas Children’s Houston Open and is not scheduled to tee it up at the Valero Texas Open, he is widely anticipated to compete in the Masters Tournament, set to take place from April 9–12.

With both his professional career and personal life reaching exciting new heights, Fitzpatrick’s recent success marks what could be the beginning of a special chapter for the English professional.
