
On Thursday afternoon, the Chicago Cubs beat the Philadelphia Phillies (at home) by a score of 8-7.
They swept the series, and will now head to Los Angeles to play the Dodgers on Friday night.

After the game, the Cubs announced that they had made a trade with the Colorado Rockies.
Jesse Rogers of ESPN wrote: “The Cubs acquired INF Nicky Lopez from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for cash considerations, per the team.”
Lopez has spent part of seven seasons in the MLB.
He was with the Cubs last year.
In addition to the Cubs, the 31-year-old has also played for the Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Angels.
Over 686 games, Lopez is batting .245 with seven home runs, 153 RBI’s, 262 runs and 47 stolen bases.
