Star pitcher Blake Snell has yet to appear in a game this season.
That said, there was positive news revealed on Friday.
Jack Harris of California Post wrote: “Blake Snell said he’s scheduled to throw his live before tomorrow’s game
Will be his first time facing hitters this year”

Snell is coming off a season where he went 5-4 with a 2.35 ERA in 11 games.
He also pitched in six playoff games, helping lead the Dodgers to the World Series Championship over the Blue Jays.
Snell Among MLB’s Elite

Getting Snell back in action will be huge for the Dodgers whenever that may be.
He won his second Cy Young Award as recently as 2023.
In addition to the Dodgers, the 33-year-old has also pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.

Over 222 career games, Snell has gone 81-62 with a 3.15 ERA.
In the playoffs, he is 7-5 in 18 games with a 3.27 ERA.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan wrote (on November 26, 2024): “Left-hander Blake Snell and the Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a five-year, $182 million contract, pending physical, sources tell me and @jorgecastillo. The World Series champions get the two-time Cy Young winner in the first nine-figure deal of the winter.”

After winning each of the last two World Series titles, the Dodgers are off to another incredible start to this year.
They are the top team in the National League West with a 9-3 record in 12 games.
Following their series with the Rangers, the Dodgers will remain at home to host the New York Mets on April 13.
