Bellinger Makes Jones Statement

After the game, Cody Bellinger was asked about Jones (via YES Network).
Bellinger: “Yeah, I feel like he’s controlling his at-bats really well. Obviously the power is there, but he really does work a lot of good at-bats. He understands what he wants to do with his plan and with his mechanics. He’s a freak athlete, a great defender, and I think he’s doing really well right now… To come out here to play the corner outfielders, mainly center fielder, he’s just done a tremendous job and he’s controlling a lot of really good at-bats.”
Social Media On Jones

Here’s what people have been saying about Jones:
@FungoMLB: “Spencer Jones has a 108 wRC+ since getting called back up on 7/22. But more importantly, his Z-Contact% is 79%, a number similar to Judge & Ohtani. The fear with Jones was always that that number would be insurmountably bad. We’re cooking with gas 👀”
@YankeeSource: “Spencer Jones has a .746 OPS this year. He looks like a viable MLB outfielder with more power upside to come.”
@YankeeReport_: “Another day, another game where the youngsters impact were felt in a major way. George Lombard Jr. | 2-4, 2 R, 2 TB Spencer Jones | 2-3, 1 RBI, 2 R, 3 TB”
