On Friday night, Spencer Jones and the New York Yankees opened up a series with the Toronto Blue Jays in the Bronx.
Jones hit a home run in the second straight game (and the Yankees won by a score of 3-1).

Boone Makes Jones Statement
After the game, manager Aaron Boone was asked about Jones when he met with the media (via YES Network).
Reporter: “Aaron, what has Spencer meant to the team over the last 6 or 8 weeks?”
Boone: “I feel like it’s been a really good year for him in his development. And now take that to the big leagues, and he’s come up here and, you know, I think he continues to kind of find his way and certainly prove that he can play up here. Look, I think there’s a lot more in the tank for him to continue to go and learn. But he’s showing the ability to do that, and that’s been really encouraging. I think he’s done a really good job in the outfield. He’s done a good job on the bases. So it’s been great to see him take advantage of some real run here.”
Looking At Jones
Jones made his MLB debut earlier this season.
Right now, the 25-year-old is batting .229 with 35 hits, seven home runs, 21 RBIs, 18 runs and seven stolen bases in 55 games.
