UPDATE: The Yankees have officially announced the news.
Anthony Volpe has yet to appear in an MLB game during the 2026 season, as he is recovering from injury.
He has recently played in Double-A games for the Somerset Patriots.
On Monday, it was announced that Volpe will now do a rehab assignment for their Triple-A team.

Volpe has spent all three seasons of his career with the Yankees.
The 24-year-old was picked in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft.
In addition to being drafted by the Yankees, Volpe is also from New Jersey.
