Spencer Jones had a huge night, finishing with three hits (including one home run).
Spencer Jones Makes Honest Statement
After the game, Jones spoke to YES Network.
Meredith Marakovits: “Spencer, solid night at the plate, three hits including a home run, a stolen base to go with it. What allowed you to click at the plate tonight?”
Jones: “Just some conversations I had earlier in the day, kind of looking at some film from the past couple days, some adjustments we wanted to make and then got some pitches to hit and I’m glad I was able to help the team.”
Marakovits: “Who were the conversations with? What were those adjustments you made because they certainly paid off this evening.”
Jones: “Just getting things going a little earlier. I was a little late on some of the stuff earlier in the week and then just making sure that not too many thoughts going through, just allowing myself to be in a position and swing.”
Looking At Spencer Right Now
Jones was picked in the 1st round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of Vanderbilt.
He made his MLB debut earlier this season.
Right now, Jones is batting .227 with 34 hits, six home runs, 19 RBIs, 17 runs and seven stolen bases in 54 games.
