The Philadelphia Phillies are slated to begin a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park at 9:40 p.m. EDT on Monday.
Before Monday’s game, the Phillies released a 29-year-old infielder from their organization.

Via MiLB.com: Reading Fightin Phils released 2B Luke Ritter.
The Phillies signed Ritter to a minor-league deal on June 14 after he had been released by the Detroit Tigers.

Ritter never played in the majors with the Phillies. In fact, he has never played in the big-leagues for any organization.
Ritter played for Double-A Reading during his time with the Phillies organization. Ritter slashed .235/.350/.349 with three home runs, eight doubles and 23 RBI across 45 games with the Fightin Phils.

The New York Mets selected Ritter in the seventh round (No. 208 overall) of the 2019 MLB Draft out of Wichita State.
Ritter remained with the Mets organization through the 2025 season.

Ritter elected free agency after last season. He signed a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Angels in January.
The Angels released Ritter on March 21. He signed a minor-league contract with the Tigers on April 17.

After trailing 4-0 to the St. Louis Cardinals in the ninth inning on Sunday, the Phillies tied the game with two outs. Kyle Schwarber delivered a walk-off two-run home run to give the Phillies their ninth-straight victory.
Philadelphia is the second National League Wild Card team with a 73-58 record. The club is two games back of the Chicago Cubs for the first Wild Card spot and three games back of the Atlanta Braves for first place in the National League East.
