Kasevich was selected by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft (out of Oregon).

During his final season at Oregon, the 25-year-old batted .310 with seven home runs and 44 RBI’s.

Keegan Matheson of MLB.com wrote: “Josh Kasevich has been one of the best stories in #BlueJays camp, but he played in just 42 games last season. Back and wrist injuries made a mess of it, so he needs to get into a groove and routine in Triple-A.

I still see a big-leaguer there and I think it happens this season.”
