UPDATE: Atlanta Hawks Make Jalen Johnson Announcement Before Pistons Game

On Wednesday evening, the Atlanta Hawks will be in Detroit to take on the Pistons.

The Hawks are coming off a 146-107 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies (at home).

Jalen Johnson did not play in the game.

Hawks Make Jalen Johnson Announcement

For Wednesday’s game, the Hawks have announced that Johnson will be listed as questionable.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Jalen Johnson (shoulder) listed questionable for Wednesday.”

Johnson is in the middle of an elite season where he made his first career All-Star Game.

The former Duke forward is averaging 22.7 points, 10.4 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range in 63 games.

Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks wrote (on March 21): “to answer a couple of frequently asked questions… – yes, jalen johnson was wearing a sleeve on his left shoulder last night in houston – yes, it is the same shoulder he injured last season – no, i don’t know anything about severity/timeline beyond that”

Hawks This Season

The Hawks have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA.

They are currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-32 record in 72 games.

Over their last ten games, the Hawks have gone 9-1 (and they’ve won two in a row).

Following the Pistons, the Hawks will play their next game on Friday night when they visit Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics.

They are 19-16 in the 35 games they have played away from State Farm Arena in Georgia.

The Hawks have missed the NBA playoffs in each of the previous two years.

Pistons At Top Of Eastern Conference

The Pistons are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 52-19 record in 71 games.

They have won seven out of their last ten games (and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak).

Following the Hawks, the Pistons will play their next game on Thursday when they host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.
