Boston Celtics Announce Jayson Tatum Status For Hawks Game

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics will be at home to host the Atlanta Hawks.

The Celtics most recently beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 119-109 (in Boston).

Jayson Tatum finished the win with 19 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block while shooting 5/12 from the field and 3/6 from three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.

For Friday’s game, the Celtics will have Tatum available.

He is not listed on the team’s injury report.

Tatum has appeared in nine games so far this year.

He is averaging 19.1 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 39.1% from the field and 30.9% from three-point range.

Tatum’s NBA Career

Tatum is in the middle of his ninth NBA season (all with the Celtics).

He was the third pick in the 2017 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball.

His career averages are 23.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 36.9% from three-point range in 594 games.

Tatum has also reached the Eastern Conference finals five times in his first eight seasons.

He helped lead the Celtics to the 2022 NBA Finals (and 2024 NBA Championship).

The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 48-24 record in 72 games.

They have won seven out of their last ten games (and are 25-11 at home).
