They are coming off a loss (at home) to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Draymond Green did not play in the 127-117 defeat.
Warriors Announce Draymond Green Update Before Knicks
For Sunday’s game, the Warriors have announced that Green will be out of action again.
Underdog NBA wrote: “Draymond Green (injury management) listed out for Sunday.”
Green is averaging 8.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists per contest while shooting 41.8% from the field and 33.1% from three-point range in 54 games.
He is in his 14th season out Michigan State (all with Golden State).
Warriors This Season
The Warriors have had an up-and-down season that is being defined (right now) by injuries.
They are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 32-34 record in 66 games.
Over their last ten games, the Warriors have lost seven (and they are in the middle of a four-game losing streak).
ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote (on Friday night): “Painful time for the Warriors. They lost four players to injury tonight (Draymond Green, Al Horford, Seth Curry, Quinten Post) and then lost a fourth straight game. They are about to go on a road trip that includes stops in New York, Boston, Detroit and Atlanta.”
The Warriors are coming off a year where they beat the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round.
The franchise last won an NBA Championship during the 2022 season.
Knicks Right Now
The Knicks most recently beat the Indiana Pacers (on the road) by a score of 101-92.
They are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 43-25 record in 68 games.
Over their last ten games, the Knicks have won six (and they are in the middle of a two-game winning streak).
Following Golden State, they will host the Pacers on Tuesday night in New York City.
