UPDATE: Timberwolves Make Anthony Edwards Announcement Before Pistons Game

On Thursday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be in Michigan to play the Detroit Pistons.

The Timberwolves are coming off a 124-94 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Anthony Edwards finished with 17 points, two rebounds and four assists while shooting 7/13 from the field and 2/3 from three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time.

UPDATE: Anthony Edwards has been ruled out (h/t Underdog NBA).

For Thursday’s game, the Timberwolves have announced that Edwards will be listed as questionable on the injury report.

Underdog NBA wrote: “Anthony Edwards (knee) questionable for Thursday.”

Edwards is in the middle of another fantastic year with averages of 29.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range in 59 games.

He is in his sixth NBA season out of Georgia.

Timberwolves Right Now

The Timberwolves will come into the matchup as the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 46-29 record in 75 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games (and are 21-15 on the road).

Following the Pistons, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Friday when they visit Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Edwards has helped lead the Timberwolves to the NBA playoffs in each of the previous four years.

They have also reached the Western Conference finals two years in a row.

Pistons Ahead Of T-Wolves Visit

The Pistons are currently the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 55-21 record in 76 games.

They have won seven out of their last ten games (and most recently beat the Toronto Raptors by a score of 127-116).

Following the Timberwolves, the Pistons will play their next game on Saturday when they visit the 76ers.

The Pistons are coming off a season where they ended a five-year postseason drought.

They lost to the New York Knicks in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.
