The Atlanta Falcons are getting ready to begin a new season with a new quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa. Away from the field, though, the quarterback and his wife, Annah, have even bigger news coming.
The couple announced on Instagram on Monday that they are expecting their third child.
The news adds another member to a family that Tagovailoa has spoken about frequently since arriving in Atlanta this offseason. The 28-year-old quarterback and Annah already have two children, son Ace and daughter Maisey.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Daniel Flick also shared the announcement Monday, writing on X, “Tua Tagovailoa and his wife, Annah, announced they’re having a third child.”

Tagovailoa and Annah married in a private ceremony in Florida in July 2022, shortly before the start of Miami Dolphins training camp.
Their first child, Ace, was born the following month. The couple welcomed Maisey in 2023.
The Tagovailoas have generally kept their relationship and family life private, though they have shared more glimpses publicly in recent years. Annah made their marriage Instagram official on their first anniversary in July 2023, while the family has occasionally joined Tagovailoa at NFL events.
That included Tagovailoa’s 2024 contract extension with Miami, where Ace joined his father at the podium.
The couple’s growing family has also been there through a major change in Tagovailoa’s football career. After Miami released him in March, Annah publicly supported her husband as he prepared for the next stop. The Falcons officially signed Tagovailoa on March 13, bringing the family to Atlanta after six seasons in South Florida.
Tagovailoa thanked Miami in his farewell message and specifically noted that his time there included marrying Annah and welcoming their first two children.
The move to Atlanta has now coincided with another major family milestone.
Fatherhood Has Been Major Part of Tua Tagovailoa’s Life
Tagovailoa has been especially open about the way becoming a father changed his outlook.
In May, Flick detailed how fatherhood has helped mature Tagovailoa and influence the way he approaches both football and the Falcons’ quarterback competition.
Tagovailoa told reporters at the time that football had become his “part-time job” compared to his responsibilities at home. Flick noted how quickly the quarterback lit up when talking about Ace and Maisey.
That perspective isn’t new.
After Ace was born in 2022, Tagovailoa said becoming a parent changed the way he viewed life. He later explained that one of his motivations for continuing to play football was the opportunity for his son to grow old enough to understand what his father was doing on the field.
Tagovailoa now finds himself balancing another major football transition with another change at home.
The former Dolphins starter entered the summer competing with Michael Penix Jr. for the Falcons’ starting job. Penix has spent training camp working his way back from ACL surgery, leaving Tagovailoa to handle most of the first-team work in full-team periods.
That competition has dominated much of the conversation around Tagovailoa since he arrived in Atlanta.
There will be plenty of attention on how the quarterback situation plays out before the regular season begins.
For Tagovailoa and his family, though, Atlanta is already about to become home to one more.
Falcons’ Tua Tagovailoa Makes Major Personal Announcement
