The Buffalo Bills are looking to improve to 4-0 on the season with a win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, but they received bad news during the game about wide receiver DJ Moore.
Late in the first half, the Bills were in New England’s territory when Moore was injured. He got up and walked over to the blue medical tent. Several reporters wrote that Moore entered the tent at 2:09 p.m. EST and left for the locker room about six minutes later.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter reported at 2:18 p.m. EST that Moore is dealing with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
Moore had one reception on two targets for 11 yards and one rush for six yards before leaving the game.
The Bills updated Moore’s status after the half and listed him as doubtful to return.
Moore Hurt His Shoulder in Week 2
This isn’t the first time this season Moore has left with a shoulder injury. During the Bills’ home opener, in a Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions, Moore left the first half with a shoulder injury. He missed the rest of that game, but he didn’t miss any more games because of it.
It will be interesting to monitor Moore’s shoulder for the rest of the season and in the coming weeks. The Bills seemed to miss Moore in the second half against New England, and when Josh Allen looked for a wide receiver to throw to, he didn’t have the best option.
Allen threw an interception on the final Bills drive as they looked to get into field goal range to tie or score a touchdown to win.
Buffalo Will Play the Rams in Week 5
The Bills lost to New England 29-26, and now they need to focus as they prepare to play the Los Angeles Rams on “Monday Night Football” in Week 5.
Los Angeles vs. Buffalo could be a Super Bowl preview, as both teams have great odds of making it to the big game. The Rams beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4, bringing their record to 2-2, while the Bills are now 3-1.
The Rams will be without starting defensive end Myles Garrett, who underwent knee surgery following the Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Since the Rams placed Garrett on injured reserve after Week 1, he must miss at least four games, making the upcoming game against the Bills his fourth.
