“It builds character. You go into every season and you’re hoping and praying that there’s no adversity,” head coach Sean McDermott said after the win over the Jags. “But we’ve all been around this long enough to know that there’s going to be adversity, it’s just a matter of what form it comes in and how big it is. And we’ve really been dealing with it quite a bit this year.”

McDermott added, “We made the plays that we needed to make when we needed to make them.”

So, McDermott, Allen and the Bills are ready for their next stop on the way to the finals. Now, the NFL has announced news about the Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos game.

Sean McDermott Talks Up Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen

After the game, Allen talked about the challenges that these teams have faced. “To have the wherewithal to not blink,” Allen said. “That’s just the mantra that we’ve adapted to this year.”

McDermott also talked up Allen’s performance against the Texans, which is a preview of what’s to come. “It trickles down from him in terms of the team’s toughness,” McDermott said of Allen’s performance. The quarterback finished the game with 306 yards of offense and three total touchdowns.

McDermott added, “When your quarterback is that type of warrior, that type of competitor, from a leadership standpoint it just goes through the whole team. We’ve got to get him as healthy as we can, though, for next week. It’s not something we take lightly. I did think overall that he took some hits today, but there were also sometimes where we protected him well.”
