The Kansas City Chiefs had everyone on the 53-man roster practice in some capacity on Wednesday, September 24, ahead of a massive Week 4 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Head coach Andy Reid confirmed this news while speaking with reporters on Wednesday of Week 4, but he downplayed the best part of all. Rising star wide receiver Xavier Worthy was a “full” participant in the first Week 4 practice, according to Chiefs Digest beat reporter Matt Derrick.

“We’ll just evaluate him and take it day by day,” Reid said of Worthy. “He feels good, so we’ll see.”

Unfortunately, despite the generally clean bill of health, there are still two starters working their way back from injury. And these are two situations worth monitoring as we get closer and closer to the weekend.

Cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) and defensive end Mike Danna (quad) both missed Week 3 after suffering injuries early in the game in Week 2. Per Derrick, both were “limited” on Wednesday, meaning they are not back to full strength just yet.

Although the Chiefs‘ defense played well without Fulton and Danna against the New York Giants, it’s worth pointing out that the Ravens’ offense — led by perennial MVP finalist Lamar Jackson and future Hall of Fame running back Derrick Henry — should be a much tougher challenge for this unit.

Kansas City has depth at cornerback, but they are especially shallow at defensive end after a couple of preseason injuries. It’d be helpful to get one, if not both, of these defensive reinforcements back for Week 4.

3 Chiefs Youngsters Stepped Up With Kristian Fulton & Mike Danna Sidelined in Week 3

If you look at the Chiefs‘ snap counts in Week 3, there were three younger players who were called upon with Fulton and Danna out. Those were 2025 draft picks Ashton Gillotte and Nohl Williams, and 2024 UDFA and versatile DB Christian Roland-Wallace.

According to Pro Football Focus, Gillotte chipped in 37 defensive snaps, while Roland-Wallace was on the field for 30, and Williams added 19 as the exclusive backup perimeter cornerback.

Roland-Wallace was arguably the most impactful of the three, however. After barely seeing the field over the first two weeks of the season, the second-year player was utilized all over Steve Spagnuolo’s defense.

PFF credited him with 16 snaps inside the “box,” where linebackers typically line up, 10 snaps at free safety, and 4 snaps guarding the slot. Roland-Wallace recorded 2 tackles and a pivotal interception, earning an elite PFF grade of 91.4 overall.

Williams was excellent in coverage, too, in his own right. For the second straight week, the rookie only allowed 1 of 3 targets to be caught. This time, the catch was a 9-yard gain.

Williams was flagged for a couple of penalties, but his PFF coverage grade was an impressive 90.8.

Finally, Gillotte probably had the quietest outing of the three. He was credited with 1 QB hit, which was his only quarterback pressure as a pass rusher. There were no glaring mistakes for the rookie, though, which is all you can ask for sometimes.

Notably, fellow rookie defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott had a big game, too, with 5 quarterback pressures and 2 key defensive “stops” against the Giants. However, the first-year D-tackle was charged with 1 missed tackle.

Ravens Without Star Defensive Lineman in Week 4 vs. Chiefs

On the other side of things, ESPN reports that the Ravens have already ruled out star defensive lineman Nnamdi Madubuike, who suffered a serious neck injury.

Veteran outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy also did not practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, and tight end Isaiah Likely is still working his way back from a preseason foot injury.

Likely, who is typically a player who gives the Chiefs trouble, was “limited” in practice on Wednesday. He and Van Noy will both be injuries to monitor for the Ravens.
